Boch Fes La Louviere Plates
Last week we posted an article about some purchases we made at a local auction. I am pleased to report that we have already flipped part of the purchases from that auction.
I am even more pleased that this sale is the highest dollar sale that we have had since we began selling on eBay.
We found this jersey a few weeks ago at one of our local thrift stores. We picked it up for under $2. I was excited by it. Suzie not so much. When I listed it for the amount that I did, Suzie figured that this would sit on our shelf until I came to my senses.
While doing my research, I noticed that a few of these had been available and sold anywhere from $18 to $40. I decided to go high with mine since it was a special shirt for the player many consider to be the best ever in the NBA.
When my phone made the cha-ching sound and I saw what had sold, I got excited. I knew before looking what the price was since I did not allow for any best offers on this listing.
V. Nason Glass Elephant
A relative brought by this glass elephant for us to sell on eBay. We do a little bit of consignment work, and may do even more in the future. We have turned down some requests because of the volume of inventory that we currently need to get listed.
This elephant is a nice, heavy piece from V. Nason. It was signed by the artist on the bottom. The glass had a charcoal smoke effect that provided color while retaining the glass appeal.

About a week ago we picked up some Thanksgiving dinnerware pieces at our thrift store. We debated in the store about getting them since Thanksgiving is so far away. The pilgrims, the message, the colors and the price all factored into our decision to buy the dinnerware.
We picked up 4 dinner plates, 4 salad plates and 4 mugs for under $7. The set is put out by Table by Rosanna (a name I am looking for when I shop). I am so glad that we did not pass on these.
Not too long ago we had picked up this Tommy Bahama silk polo shirt for $3. As we speak it is on its way to a customer down I-95 from us in Davie, Florida.
It was listed with the Buy It Now option on eBay. It took 16 days to sell, so my listing fee was only $0.05.
As you can tell by the price below, we love Tommy Bahama silk shirts.
Tommy Bahama Silk Hawaiian Shirt
Cha-Ching is our new blog category in which we will showcase some of our favorite sales. We have chosen to call it this because our iPhone makes a cha-ching sound whenever an item sells. The sound comes from the eBay App.
This item is a favorite for a few reasons. The first is based on our history. One of the first items we sold a few years ago was a shirt just like this. I knew very little about what I was doing. I listed a shirt that was just too large for me even though I loved it. I didn’t know how to price items and stuck what was obviously a very low price on the shirt. It sold immediately to somebody who got a very good deal.
